How it works

Accessing treatment through My Medical Gateway is simple

We've designed a straightforward process to help you compare hospitals, secure your treatment date and access treatment abroad with confidence.

The process is designed to help patients move from booking to treatment as quickly and efficiently as possible.

1. Choose your treatment and hospital

Browse treatments and compare fixed-price MMG Treatment Packages from our network of MMG Accredited Hospitals in Europe.

If you need help selecting a treatment or hospital, our patient support team is available to assist.

2. Sign your healthcare contract and secure your booking

Once you have selected your preferred hospital, you will sign your healthcare contract and make the initial payment required to begin the clinical review process.

Your hospital's dedicated English-speaking patient coordinator will then contact you and guide you through the next steps.

3. Complete your remote diagnosis

Arrange your diagnostic tests through a local provider or via Scan.com and send the results to your chosen hospital.

The medical team will prioritise your review and confirm your suitability for treatment.

4. Receive your treatment dates

Once you have been clinically cleared for treatment, your chosen MMG Accredited Hospital will offer you three treatment date options within six weeks.

5. Confirm your treatment date

Select your preferred treatment date and begin making your travel arrangements.

Your dedicated patient coordinator will guide you through the next steps and answer any questions you may have.

6. Make your final payment

The remaining balance of your Treatment Package must be paid no later than 14 days before your scheduled treatment date.

7. Travel for treatment

Attend your chosen hospital for your pre-operative assessment and receive treatment from your consultant-led medical team.

8. Recover and return home

Following treatment, you will receive your discharge documentation, medical records and any post-operative care and recovery support included within your Treatment Package to help you get back on your feet.

Once home, your package also includes a remote follow-up consultation with the treating hospital within 90 days of treatment.
