Nose surgery
Septo-Rhinoplasty
Septo-rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that combines two types of procedure.
Septoplasty focuses on straightening the septum, which is the wall of cartilage and bone inside the nose that separates the two sides of the nose. If this is crooked (called a "deviated septum"), it can cause breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty reshapes the outer part of the nose for cosmetic reasons, to change the size or shape, or to correct deformities from injury or birth defects.
The operation can help improve breathing, correct nasal appearance, or both. It’s typically done under general anaesthesic, and recovery can take a few weeks with some swelling and bruising expected around the nose.
