Hysterectomy surgery

A Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH) is a surgery where the entire uterus is removed through an incision made in the abdomen (the lower belly). This procedure is often done to treat conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, cancer, or heavy bleeding that hasn't been controlled by other treatments.

A Vaginal Hysterectomy is a surgery where the uterus is removed through the vagina, without making any cuts in the abdomen. This procedure is less invasive than an abdominal hysterectomy and is usually done for conditions like prolapsed uterus, fibroids, or heavy bleeding. 

Since it’s done through the vagina, recovery time is often shorter, and there’s usually less pain and scarring.

A laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgery to remove the uterus. Instead of making a large cut in the abdomen, the surgeon makes a few small cuts. A tiny camera and special instruments are inserted through these cuts to guide the surgeon during the procedure.

This type of surgery usually results in less pain, fewer scars, and a quicker recovery compared to traditional open surgery. The procedure may be recommended for various reasons, such as treating fibroids, heavy bleeding, or certain types of cancer.
