Dr Mihai Adrian Cristescu is Head of Robotic Spinal Surgery and a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and at Monza Hospital, where he also serves as Co-Director of the Centre of Excellence in Robotic Spine Surgery. He specialises in advanced spinal surgery, with a particular focus on robotic-assisted techniques and the treatment of complex spinal disorders.
He graduated from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest and completed his neurosurgical training across leading institutions including Bagdasar-Arseni Emergency Clinical Hospital, the Central Military Emergency University Hospital and Foch Hospital in Paris. He has been a Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery since 2012 and holds the European Diploma in Spinal Surgery, reflecting a high level of specialist accreditation.
Dr Cristescu performs over 400 spinal procedures annually, including a significant number of complex multidisciplinary cases. His clinical scope includes degenerative spine conditions, spinal deformities, trauma, tumours and infections, supported by the use of robotic systems to enhance surgical precision and recovery outcomes.
He is a member of leading European spine organisations, including EUROSPINE and SMISS, and has been recognised internationally as a Surgeon of Excellence. His practice is defined by high procedural volume, advanced technical capability and a strong focus on patient outcomes.
