Dr Adrian Pojoga is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and one of Romania's leading specialists in sports traumatology, knee surgery and shoulder surgery with more than 15 years of specialist clinical experience. He has established a reputation as a high-volume orthopaedic surgeon with particular expertise in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, ligament reconstruction and joint preservation. His practice combines advanced surgical techniques with evidence-based rehabilitation to help patients return safely to normal activity following injury or degenerative joint disease. Dr Pojoga graduated from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest before completing specialist training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Throughout his career he has pursued extensive postgraduate education at many of the world's leading orthopaedic centres. His international training includes fellowships and advanced surgical programmes at the internationally renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, together with specialist training in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. He has completed more than 40 advanced international courses in arthroscopy, sports medicine and reconstructive orthopaedic surgery, ensuring his practice remains aligned with the latest developments in the field. Dr Pojoga performs more than 250 orthopaedic operations each year and conducts in excess of 2,500 specialist outpatient consultations, making him one of the busiest sports orthopaedic surgeons in Romania. His principal areas of expertise include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, including modern Internal Brace techniques, advanced knee and shoulder arthroscopy, meniscal repair, treatment of shoulder instability, rotator cuff reconstruction, cartilage preservation procedures and joint replacement surgery where clinically indicated.
