About
Dr. Delgado is an associate professor at San Pablo CEU University and specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the wrist and hand. His specific areas of interest include the treatment of distal radius fractures and their sequelae, carpal pathology, and elbow surgery.
Dr. Delgado studied Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid and obtained his Specialist degree in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology through the MIR residency program at La Princesa University Hospital in Madrid.
He worked for 10 years at the FREMAP Hospital in Majadahonda as a surgeon in the Upper Limb Unit, a role he combined with other positions of responsibility such as resident tutor, president of the teaching committee, president of the national nursing committee, president of the national physiotherapy committee, and national deputy medical director.
Dr. Delgado has completed his training in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery at prestigious national and international centers. Author of numerous national and international publications, he participates in conferences worldwide with multiple presentations. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society for Hand Surgery (SECMA) and Secretary General of the Ibero-Latin American Hand Surgery Group (ILA). He belongs to, among others, the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS), the Spanish and European Societies of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECHC and SECEC), and the International Wrist Investigators Workshop (IWIW), a group of ninety doctors from around the world considered the elite in wrist surgery. He is also the International Editor of the Ibero-American Journal of Hand Surgery (RICMA) and a reviewer for several prestigious scientific journals, such as the Journal of Hand Surgery and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
He is the current president of the International Wrist Arthroscopy Society (IWAS), past president of the Spanish Society of Hand Surgery (SECMA), and president of the SECMA Foundation. He also participates as a member of the FESSH Hand Trauma Prevention Group.
