Bio: Dr Danguolė Vildaitė is a senior obstetrician-gynaecologist with over 30 years of clinical experience, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of complex gynaecological conditions, with a particular focus on minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. Her practice combines long-standing clinical expertise with a strong academic foundation, delivering consistent and high-quality care across a wide spectrum of women’s health needs. She obtained her medical degree from Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and has been practising as a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology since 1991. She went on to complete a PhD in Medicine at Vilnius University in 2002, with research focused on laparoscopic surgery for ovarian tumours, underpinning her expertise in advanced minimally invasive techniques. Dr Vildaitė has developed her clinical career across leading Lithuanian institutions, including the Vilnius University Emergency Hospital, and has been practising at Kardiolita Clinics (now Meliva) since 2006.
