Dr Edvinas Pranevičius specialises in sports traumatology, arthroscopic surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the knee, shoulder, hip and ankle. Since qualifying as a specialist, he has established a reputation for combining modern minimally invasive surgical techniques with personalised treatment programmes designed to restore mobility, reduce pain and enable patients to return to normal activity as quickly and safely as possible. Dr Pranevičius graduated from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in 2012, where he obtained both his Master of Medicine degree and qualification as a Medical Doctor. He subsequently completed specialist residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in 2017, earning his professional qualification as an Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. Committed to continuous professional development, Dr Pranevičius has undertaken advanced international training, including a three-month clinical fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Traumatology at Lund University Hospital in Sweden. He has also completed the internationally recognised Zimmer Biomet Master Courses in Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery and holds certification in both AO Basic and AO Advanced Principles of Fracture Management, internationally respected programmes regarded as the benchmark for modern trauma surgery. His principal clinical interests include knee arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal surgery, shoulder arthroscopy, hip and ankle disorders, sports injuries and degenerative joint disease. He also performs fracture surgery, tendon repair and joint preservation procedures, using minimally invasive techniques wherever clinically appropriate to reduce postoperative pain, shorten hospital stays and accelerate rehabilitation. At Meliva Kardiolita Hospital he also undertakes complex joint reconstruction procedures, including knee and hip replacement surgery, alongside advanced arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, elbow and ankle. Alongside his hospital practice, Dr Pranevičius consults across several specialist orthopaedic centres in Lithuania and remains actively engaged in continuing education through regular participation in international scientific congresses, specialist seminars and advanced surgical training programmes.
