Monza Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of medical and surgical services, including cardiology, cardiac surgery, orthopaedics, oncology, bariatric surgery, general and vascular surgery, neurosurgery, gynaecology and urology.

The hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department includes the latest generation of MRI, CT, digital X-ray, echocardiography, and angiography systems. All operating rooms are equipped for minimally invasive, robotic-assisted, and hybrid surgical techniques, reducing trauma, blood loss, and recovery times.

Monza’s cardiac unit is among the most technologically advanced in Southeast Europe, featuring hybrid operating theatres, a 24-hour coronary care unit, and continuous cardiac monitoring. The Orthopaedic Department utilises 3D navigation systems for prosthetic alignment and patient-specific implants, while the Oncology Centre provides access to molecular diagnostics and targeted biological therapies.

Monza Hospital consistently achieves results comparable to major Western European hospitals, supported by transparent data reporting and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Cardiac Surgery: Over 98% procedural success rate and 99% survival rate in elective coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for standard-risk patients.

Orthopaedics: Less than 3% postoperative complication rate, with patient-reported functional recovery within 8–10 weeks after joint replacement.

Oncology: Five-year survival rates meeting or exceeding European benchmarks for early-stage cancers.

Bariatric Surgery: Complication rates under 4%, with average excess-weight reduction of 70–90% within two years.

These outcomes are supported by internal audits, independent verification, and participation in international clinical registries.

Patient safety is central to Monza Hospital’s philosophy. The hospital operates a comprehensive infection-control and antibiotic stewardship programme, achieving hospital-acquired infection rates below 1%. Every intensive-care bed is monitored continuously, with Consultant anaesthetists and critical care specialists on duty 24/7.

Clinical pathways align with European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) and World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for thromboembolism prevention, peri-operative antibiotic timing, and post-surgical care.

All international patients benefit from English-speaking coordinators and multilingual nursing staff to ensure effective communication throughout their stay.

For MMG patients, Monza Hospital provides seamless, fully managed treatment pathways — from pre-arrival medical review and travel coordination to admission, surgery, and follow-up care. Initial consultations and diagnostic tests can typically be scheduled within 24–48 hours of arrival in Bucharest.

The International Patient Department can advise on all logistics, including airport transfers, translation services and accommodation for accompanying family members. Most international medical travellers remain in hospital for four to six days, depending on procedure complexity, followed by recovery support either locally or at home via teleconsultation.

Rehabilitation begins immediately post-surgery under the guidance of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and specialist nurses. The hospital’s integrated rehabilitation centre provides personalised recovery programmes for cardiac, orthopaedic, and neurological patients.

For bariatric and oncology patients, nutrition counselling, psychological support and remote follow-up are offered to ensure sustainable health outcomes. Once patients return home, the Monza coordination team facilitates online consultations and medical reporting in English, maintaining continuity of care.
