Dr. Daniel López García

Dr Daniel López García is one of north-west Spain's leading consultant urological surgeons. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he has established a reputation for combining advanced minimally invasive surgery with personalised patient care. His principal interests include robotic urological surgery, uro-oncology, endourology and the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Dr López García graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela between 1998 and 2004 before completing his MIR specialist training in Urology at the Complexo Hospitalario Universitario A Coruña (CHUAC) between 2005 and 2010. He subsequently undertook advanced postgraduate training in endourology, laparoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted urological surgery at leading specialist centres in Spain and Europe, developing particular expertise in minimally invasive techniques. Prior to joining HM Hospitales, he served as Head of Endourology at CHUAC and has remained actively involved in specialist education, directing nationally accredited training programmes in percutaneous endourology. He now leads one of the region's most advanced private urology services, delivering consultant-led care supported by state-of-the-art robotic technology and multidisciplinary clinical teams. His clinical practice is centred on robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci Surgical System, particularly for radical prostatectomy in patients with prostate cancer. He is also recognised for his expertise in advanced endourology, performing flexible ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy for the treatment of kidney stones using minimally invasive techniques that reduce postoperative pain and shorten recovery times.
