He has served as principal investigator in numerous international multicentre clinical trials evaluating new coronary stents, antithrombotic therapies and structural heart devices, helping to shape contemporary interventional cardiology practice. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Gómez has established an outstanding international academic reputation. He has authored approximately 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, which have attracted more than 3,600 citations, and has presented extensively at national and international cardiology congresses.
