Bio: Dr Fernando Lista Mateos is one of Spain's leading urological surgeons and serves as Head of the Urology Department at Hospital Universitario HM Montepríncipe in Madrid and as a senior member of the ROC Clinic Urology Group, providing consultant-led care across several HM Hospitales centres, including HM Madrid Río. With more than 20 years of specialist experience, he has established a reputation for combining advanced robotic surgery, minimally invasive techniques and evidence-based clinical practice in the treatment of both benign and malignant urological disease. Dr Lista Mateos graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid before completing his MIR specialist training in Urology at Hospital Universitario de Getafe. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine, awarded Cum Laude by the European University of Madrid. His international professional standing is reflected by his qualification as a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), one of Europe's highest specialist accreditations, demonstrating clinical competence to rigorous European standards. His principal clinical interests include prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder cancer, kidney cancer and endourology for the treatment of urinary stone disease. Dr Lista Mateos is a fully certified console surgeon for the Da Vinci, Hugo RAS and TouMai robotic surgical systems, enabling him to perform highly precise minimally invasive procedures that reduce postoperative pain, minimise blood loss and accelerate patient recovery.
